Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

I do not like being mislead or being lied to. Was it to much to ask for landsea to simply be forward, honest apparently so. Would not ever refer [name removed] homes.
Brighton, on May 28, 2025
[name removed] has been quick to respond to concerns. I’d like to specifically acknowledge the warranty coordinator [name removed].
Brighton, CO, on Apr 22, 2025
The sales people were professional and courteous.
Brighton, on May 25, 2025
I think the financing portion was the most difficult, because the communication was not great about the builder's credit.
Brighton, on May 28, 2025
I really liked that everyone was super nice throughly the process and provided really important information. The walk through of the home was super useful to get to know our house and how to use its features. The folder left behind to leave our papers in and apple home kit was super nice!
Brighton, CO, on Apr 17, 2025
The entire experience was more than pleasant for me and my partner as first time home buyers. Katy at the sales office was extremely communicational with me and my agent, treated us very warming and caring. The follow ups from all the team at [name removed] after purchase has been amazing aswell.
Brighton, on May 27, 2025
The process was easy and the people were nice. However, there were some lapses in communication during the inspection process. After we figured all of that out and were on the same page, things ran smooth for the remainder of the build process. The thing we dislike the most is the build quality. We have had to warranty a lot of things so far that seem like was due to just negligence or poor workmanship. 6 months into the house and we're still finding things and wondering if we should go through the process of filing another warranty claim. However, the warranty process has been pretty good and our rep has been really easy to work with. Lastly, we have had a mechanics lien placed on our home from a plumbing company that did work during the construction of the home. Thankfully we had insurance to help with the process and it seems [name removed] worked it out with the company but it was quite a shock receiving the letter in the mail.

I appreciated how easy it was to get in touch with my customer service representative. And I liked how she resolved me issues.
Brighton, CO, on Apr 15, 2025
[name removed] and [name removed] were such a big help. Any question we had, they answered it and were so quick with everything. Katy was also very welcoming when we first started the process.
Brighton, on Apr 16, 2025
Easy closing process but can be hard to get warranty items resolved
Brighton, CO, on Apr 09, 2025
Everything seemed to be very smooth. All of the staff we dealt with were very efficient and stayed in touch with us throughout the process and followed up with any questions we had and also just to keep us informed.
Brighton, on Apr 10, 2025
I liked how easy it was to contact [name removed] homes and how available they constantly were. Also that they were prepared and organized with the home warranty items.
Brighton, on Feb 23, 2025
Walkthrough was a bit difficult to get things fixed that the builders messed up
Brighton, on Feb 14, 2025
We’ve had some issues come up with our counter tops, & cabinets and there’s nothing you guys can do about it. Overall a quality concern.
Brighton, CO, on Feb 17, 2025
The best part of our purchase experience was working with our sales agent [name removed]. My first encounter with [name removed] was calling the 1-800 number and that person directed me to the sales office down the road. I had just returned to Colorado from a trip to Dallas and drove straight to [name removed] Homes in Brighton, Co to check out this home I found online while I was away. My first contact was this person on the phone and they were friendly and helpful. From the moment I met [name removed] at the [name removed] Office, I had the sense that [name removed] would be a wonderful company to work with as the team that was already providing such a warm welcome. Katy took the time to answer all of our questions that first day and all throughout the process. Being it was our first time buying a home, there were a lot of questions! That first day I toured 4 different homes and loved the Barcelona with the beautiful view. Katy willingly gave of her time and was such a pleasant individual to begin the process of doing the business of buying our first home with [name removed]. To say Katy went above and beyond is true but also an understatement. She went way above and beyond to the point of assisting us with moral support at our closing! WOW! We are so appreciative and amazed at her dedication to her clients. This gesture meant the world to us as we were both a bit nervous and she made the process a situation to experience with ease! What a fantastic journey she provided for us representing [name removed] Homes! [name removed] in the office was a great help as well when we stopped by a few times with questions or we just needed to see one more thing at our future home! Her kind demeanor and enthusiasm for her position was as obvious as it was with Katy. [name removed], our lender was an integral part of our process and a key component of our delight, with our positive customer service from [name removed] Homes as well. [name removed] had a few pieces of news she had to deliver along the way and she always found a speaking style to put a positive spin and come up with a solution. What could have been a stressful situation was made quite easy on closing day, and her positivity and finesse with conversation made it so. [name removed] and Katy’s communication with each other made it easy on [name removed] and I to not have to update each party throughout the process and they made a great team. Thanks to both [name removed] and Katy, my husband [name removed], my father [name removed] and I have a beautiful and happy home where we feel safe. We felt valued and cared about throughout the process of purchasing our home from [name removed]. Papa [name removed] is an US Army Veteran and my mother [name removed] served in the US Airforce. I know [name removed] doesn’t cater to Veterans necessarily, though your team and Katy were so honoring to Papa [name removed], one would have thought so. [name removed] would be smiling down from heaven with the way we were treated by [name removed] Homes with this huge decision in our lives. With this kind of customer service we would recommend [name removed] Homes to family, friends and colleagues. [name removed] on the building team is so attentive and helpful to any questions and [name removed] said he learned a lot from him during orientation. It’s obvious that he takes pride in his work and wants his homeowners to be satisfied. We are grateful to his team for their dedicated expertise in building our lovely home. How I wish I could end on that high note and not mention dislikes. But I would be remiss not to go further. The morning of closing we learned we may be closing later that day or a month from that day. We were surprised but [name removed]’s delivery made it so easy to roll with the punches. That’s a positive. We received a call a bit later that morning from [name removed] regarding an orientation later that day before closing. I asked “ are we closing today?” We had not yet heard back from [name removed] so this information was new. Ms. [name removed] proceeded to say “well you will be charged $250 a day if you do not close today.” I said well we haven’t heard back from [name removed] yet and we don’t know if we will be closing today or a month from today.” Ms. [name removed] stated, no that is not how it works you must have misunderstood [name removed].” I explained the situation and she again said it was me that misunderstood. I said well it’s today or a month from now. She said well it would not be a month if it’s not today and stated I would have to have my husband do a POA. I explained that [name removed] already knew that is something (POA) we would not be doing. Next she said back to me, that we needed to pay $250 a day if we didn’t close on 1/21/25 in a mean spirited and demanding tone in her voice. I could not understand why someone that was from [name removed] Homes was treating me in this matter. I was berated, talked down to, not treated with respect and clearly was not valued as a customer of [name removed] Homes by [name removed]. There is more that she stated that was inappropriate behavior from an escrow professional from [name removed] Homes to a client, but those are the highlights. Due to her response, her actions were the key reason that closing day was more stressful than it needed to be. I was bullied during the purchase transaction of buying my first home by [name removed]. I couldn’t get off the phone with this person soon enough for some relief from the unacceptable verbal mistreatment to me by [name removed]. I was concerned when after I filled out the survey, after signing closing documents that Ms. [name removed] emailed my husband [name removed] and myself to state she saw comments about her communication on the survey and asked what that was about. This was inappropriate and unprofessional. Working with [name removed] of [name removed] Homes was not only a disappointing part of our experience but completely unacceptable. We would tell any recommendations to [name removed] Homes to work with an alternate escrow professional. Thankfully [name removed]’s exemplary service representing [name removed] Homes to us, in the most positive way shined far above any negativity we experienced from from another employee. We are grateful to [name removed] Homes! Thank you! [name removed], [name removed] and Papa [name removed]

Liked how quick of responses I had and the how quick the process was.
Brighton, on Dec 18, 2024
When I have submitted requests for the warranty, I have received a timely response and the fix occurred within the next week or so. [name removed] is easy to work with and is reliable.
Brighton, CO, on Jan 19, 2025
How accommodating everyone was with our timeline
Brighton, on Nov 19, 2024
I feel all my questions and request has been met. The lady in charge of warranty is super great and always willing to help.
Brighton, CO, on Jan 10, 2025
Not clear to me what you mean by “purchase experience” but the process was well laid out up front and there were no significant surprises. Compared to my past new home buying experience (excluding custom builds) this was the best overall experience.
Brighton, on Nov 17, 2024
My dryer smells a little less like roofing material. I can only assume it'd due to the temperature outside. Basically a 30-50 degree roof smell vs a 90-100. Other than that warranty items are being addressed.
Brighton, CO, on Dec 23, 2024
As an out of state buyer we would’ve liked more transparency on closing date instead of giving us only two week to get organized on Thanksgiving week. We would’ve also liked more clarity as far as what our house was going to look like vs model home
Brighton, on Nov 10, 2024
I have found no major problems going on around my home. Only minor problems
Brighton, CO, on Dec 23, 2024
Katy was extremely knowledgeable and supportive and made our decision and process easier in our minds. It was also pretty efficient to get a quick close with minimal interruption or surprises.
Brighton, on Oct 10, 2024
I like how easy it has been to get in contact with the warranty people and how easy it is to submit for a repair. I dislike how hard it is to get a warped cabinet door replaced/looked at.
Brighton, CO, on Nov 07, 2024
Contractor’s pushed back about every issue we found during our orientation. When we came back for the final walk there was still issues that we had pointed out that they just decided were not going to get addressed. We had issues with the paint in the beams in front of the house that we requested they come back to fix and the contractor said he would send someone out but it would be the last time he would send someone out. There is still drip marks that were not taken care of. A couple other issues around the house with paint that was missed. The main shower has over spray and a spot where they just didn’t paint at all. We also had to seal our own backsplash and showers which makes no sense to me.
Brighton, on Oct 08, 2024
I like that they stay in contact and stay true to the times they say they are going to check in.
Brighton, CO, on Oct 31, 2024
Landsea missed a lot of details when building the home I’ve had a lot of warranty claims already but they have come and fixed the issues quickly
Brighton, on Oct 07, 2024
We had asked someone to wait at our house for the warranty rep to come and no one ended up coming to the scheduled appointment so we had to reschedule and ask someone to come back again to wait for someone.
Brighton, CO, on Oct 11, 2024
Quality of work a bit shoddy such as paint & hardware not matching (hinges). Little things.
