Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

I like that my issues are solved in less than a few days. The only thing I dislike is that I understand it’s a new community and lots of homes are being built. The home which is currently building beside me has messed up my side yard and the concrete residue is spattered on my side windows. They need to take care of this.

I love the model of the south gates . What I disliked most was the rigidity and the unwillingness to engage in meaningful dialogue with the customer. It often felt like a “my way or no way” approach, and I was treated as if my voice didn’t matter. I wasn’t given the opportunity to speak with different team members when my concerns weren’t addressed—especially frustrating when the issue seemed easily fixable.

[name removed] was awesome throughout the process! I am really disappointed with the doors throughout. The house. They are cheap and hollow. I will have to replace all of them. For the price that we paid for the house- we expect good quality doors as a standard option.

Liked [name removed] and [name removed]'s responsiveness and flexibility. Disliked that there were so many sessions and that they were way too long for the design center.

It went smoothly for entire process but at design centre should have show the entire price list for upgrades to the customers so that it will become easy to the customers.

The home buying process was very smooth. I do feel the quality of some of the materials of the home could be better considering its a million dollar home.

Likes: straightforward and detailed process. They met the promised timelines. They kept us informed on the progress, and the quality of the home is good (been living in it for 3-4 weeks now.) Dislikes: we spent a lot of time selecting the lot because privacy was important to us. We wanted a wood fenced corner lot, which ruled out all the lots backing to a green space; and ended up selecting the most expensive available lot at the time of the contract. [name removed] confirmed the lot will have a wood fence. 2 Months before closing, they informed us that the lot can't have a wood fence and must have an iron rod fence; which was the very first thing we confirmed with [name removed]. The offered to plant trees to partially cover the iron rods fence, which we ended up doing as it offered some privacy; however it wasn't exactly what we wanted. We will have to wait for a couple of years for the trees to mature enough and offer the privacy we wanted.

Likes- 1)excellent communication from [name removed], [name removed], design team 2) very flexibility, allowing us to make major changes in house (extended pantry), heather was on top of it and got in done in quick time. Design center [name removed] very professional, helpful, did not rush at all, gave honest feedback. Dislikes- 1) Lighting selection is very limited and poor selection, felt like even if you don't like it just choose it, because this is what we have. I immediately changed my kitchen chandeliers after closing, because what we choose and got, does not belong to a million dollar home. Have to improve the lighting selection. 2) One of the biggest issues I had once house started to build. Understand lot of it is subcontracting, but felt it was not done professionally. I visited the site everyday, and could easily see workers cutting corners, no attention to detail at all. I had to remember everything and had to point it out to get it fixed, which felt cumbersome ( despite upgrade wrong microwave got installed, despite being in contract, no puck lights placed in kitchen, got that fixed in 2 before closing, lot of cutting and patching 2 days before closing etc. I feel there should be adequate staff who can over look all this stuff, and the consumer who have to advice that things gets done. 3) I felt there was some lack of communication or not enough updates during the build process, there has to be a specific day of the week, specific time we should be hoping a call, if I am work and if my miss call for update, that week update is gone, I have to wait for next week. Email also works. 4) On my final outside company inspection, I was notified the AC unit for upstairs doesn't cool adequately, which was notified, and I was told, it has been fixed, but 10 days living into my house, doesn't feel like its fixed, it doesn't cool adequately. I did add an extra bedroom and media room upstairs which added 400 sq feet to home, and the unit size of AC is small compared to other house with same square feet. 5) the stone on fireplace, which we originally selected, they were backordered, we went to design center selected another one despite not being to our liking, that also got cancelled, we had to got floor and decor and select it from there. Don't show stuff, that you are not sure if can't be delivered. Overall, very good experience, just feel like [name removed] needs to work on more attention to detail on end finishes.

[name removed] and [name removed] were fantastic agents. Professional and understanding. The only thing we disliked was how we were somewhat pressured to move in earlier than we wanted to due to having a newborn and not being ready to move with a 2 month old. And it would’ve been nice to begin our 30 day warranty period after we actually moved into the house! [name removed] was very understanding of our situation and helped us the best he could with the rules that were placed onto him from your greedy corporate who don’t meet homeowners or actually care about us.

The entire process was very easy and straightforward. Upon reflection of the entire process. The most difficult part was the design center.
